About Us

Our Journey

Established in 2005, KiP Telford has been responding to people who find themselves sleeping rough or becoming homeless across the borough of Telford and Wrekin, offering a support service that welcomes individuals at their point of need.

This long standing service has assisted thousands of individuals who, for a variety of reasons, have found themselves to be at risk of sleeping rough, actually living on the streets, or at risk of being without a safe and secure home of their own. As a result of contributing factors and sometimes challenging presentations, it has led to many private sector landlords not being prepared to offer the opportunity of rented accommodated to individuals who are in need of a safe space to call home.

Because of collaborative working with local partners and private landlords who operate with a social conscience, KiP has been able to offer hope to the most marginalised of society.

Working in a holistic manner, it is the aim and objective of KiP to open up access to the most appropriate accommodation provision based upon individual need. We seek applicable support service that enables people to address some of the issues that prevent access to housing, and to bring hope where there has often been despair.

Our Mission

KiP is dedicated to working alongside the marginalised individuals within our local communities who are denied the fundamental right to a safe and secure home. Our focus is on supporting people to escape the dangers of street living and gain access to accommodation routes suited to their individual needs, and therefore, opening opportunities to access specialised support services that promote sustainable tenancy management and long-term positive wellbeing.

Ethos & Values

The Charity is committed to upholding the ethos set by its founder in 2005, that all people have the right to a safe home and to be treated with fairness and dignity. Regardless of the challenges we may face now or in the future, we will continue to embrace and demonstrate the following values in all that we do:

    • Person-centred approaches, ensuring that support is tailored to everyone’s unique needs.
    • Dynamic and adaptive methods, responding proactively to changing circumstances.
