Here’s how your donations make a tangible difference:
Staffing and Support Service
Our dedicated support staff are the backbone of KiP’s outreach and casework. Your donations help fund:
- £173.80 per day for two experienced support workers to provide advice, advocacy, and crisis intervention.
- £35.00 per hour for specialist support in urgent situations, from mental health crises to accommodation emergencies.
This ensures that everyone who walks through our doors receives timely, compassionate, and expert care.
Emergency and Temporary Accommodation
When someone is sleeping rough, finding them safe shelter is often the first step towards recovery. Your donations support:
- Hotel stays ranging from £35 – £80 per night, used when emergency housing is urgently needed.
- Supported emergency accommodation at £106 per night.
- Temporary accommodation between £84 – £90 per night, depending on individual need and availability.
This shelter is often the beginning of someone’s journey back to stability.
Clothing and Essentials
Basic items like warm clothes and hygiene products are a lifeline for someone sleeping rough. Donations enable us to purchase:
- Essential clothing from Primark for an adult male, including:
- Hoodie: £12
- T-Shirts (pack of 2): £6
- Jumper: £10
- Underwear (pack of 3): £5
- Socks (pack of 5): £4
- Footwear, toiletries, and sleeping bags tailored to each person’s needs.
These aren’t luxuries, they’re dignity-restoring necessities.
